Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consumer Services Specialist to join our team at North Los Angeles County Regional Center. As a Consumer Services Specialist, you will provide critical support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, empowering them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management services to consumers with complex needs, stabilizing their situations for up to 12 months or as specified.
  • Collaborate with consumers, families, clinicians, service providers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive service plans.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among consumers, families, and service providers to ensure seamless support.
  • Provide advocacy services and train consumers and families on advocacy issues.
  • Maintain accurate case records, funding, and billing records, producing reports as needed.
  • Participate in Consumer Services and agency committees and groups.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience, or Master's degree in a related field with two years of experience.
  • Experience working with consumers with complex needs and intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
