Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) Benefits:

Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of social services programs in our facility
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, including mental health professionals, case managers, and rehabilitation specialists
  • Develop and coordinate evidence-based treatment programs, including wellness recovery action plans, illness management and recovery, dual diagnosis, and trauma-informed care
  • Coordinate referrals of residents to services not provided by our facility
  • Develop and coordinate educational in-services for staff
  • Provide clinical case supervision to treatment personnel
  • Assess potential residents and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Develop Performance Improvement Project (PIP) tools to enhance the delivery of care

Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts Qualifications:

  • Must meet the definition of a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts as defined by the Illinois Mental Health Code (LCSW, LCPC, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PMHNP, LMFT, etc.)
  • At least two years of experience in direct care of individuals with psychiatric disorders
  • Three years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively and delegate authority
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
