Job Summary:

This leadership position is responsible for providing direct patient care as a charge nurse and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead frontline staff in delivering high-quality care, ensuring the integrity of care delivered to patients.
  • Develop unit staffing plans based on patient acuity and care needs, overseeing daily operations on designated shifts.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust staffing accordingly to meet fiscal goals of the unit.
  • Coordinate efficient patient flow for the unit, promoting seamless transitions.
  • Participate in department-specific initiatives and process improvement projects, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate in occurrence investigations and other duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
  • Clinical Course Certifications (Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardio Life Support, etc.).
  • Advanced Specialty Certification or agreement to obtain within 2 years.
