Position Overview:
The Senior Manufacturing Technician at Lonza plays a crucial role in our life sciences operations across various regions. Our commitment to innovation is driven by the collaborative efforts of our talented workforce, dedicated to enhancing business processes that ultimately benefit society.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership:
    Guide and oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Supervise all operational tasks on the production floor, providing assistance and resolving complex issues as they arise.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Ensure that the team complies with all safety regulations and environmental standards. Conduct safety training and investigate any incidents to promote a safe working environment.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Maintain compliance with cGMP and ISO standards. Ensure readiness for inspections and manage quality-related deviations effectively.
  • Staff Development:
    Facilitate the training and development of manufacturing personnel, ensuring that training plans align with individual and team goals. Actively engage on the production floor to promote knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.
  • Documentation Management:
    Ensure compliance with documentation requirements related to ISO/GMP and quality systems. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Communication Skills:
    Exhibit strong verbal and written communication abilities, fostering productive relationships across various departments.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Encourage innovation and operational excellence through independent problem-solving, decision-making, and project leadership.

Qualifications:
5-10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership capacity. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, along with a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams. Certification in Lean methodologies is advantageous.

Education:
A High School Diploma is required.
