Building Operations Supervisor

Job Overview

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the operational functions and maintenance of a facility, campus, or a collection of buildings with varying levels of complexity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, participating in meetings to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and/or lead repair and maintenance tasks carried out by technicians, vendors, and contractors, managing an annual operating budget that may reach up to $3M.
  • Review work orders to confirm the completion of assignments and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of facilities and prepare detailed reports.
  • Organize and manage moves, additions, and changes within the facility.
  • Solicit and evaluate price quotes for the procurement of materials, services, and labor for various projects.
  • Lead capital improvement projects, preparing budgets and variance reports to track financial performance.
  • Manage vendor relationships, providing training on work order and billing processes, and ensuring accurate invoice processing.
  • Utilize technology for work order systems, communication, and training purposes.
  • Deliver training on processes and procedures to enhance team efficiency.
  • Perform financial and business analysis, including the preparation of comprehensive reports.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in business, technical, or management disciplines, along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience or training.
  • Prior supervisory experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience in Facilities Management within critical or GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environments is strongly preferred.
