Position Overview:
The Lead Manufacturing Technician is a pivotal role within Lonza, a global leader in life sciences. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to master the production processes and eventually guide the manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Mastery: Acquire in-depth knowledge of manufacturing procedures and ensure proficiency in all aspects of production.
- Production Planning: Strategically plan and prepare production schedules, assign tasks to operators, and ensure timely delivery of quality products.
- Technical Leadership: Develop expertise in ISO/cGMP compliance and process flow, leading daily operations with a focus on safety and quality.
- Team Development: Train and mentor manufacturing staff, maintaining training records and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Documentation Compliance: Ensure adherence to ISO/GMP documentation requirements and collaborate with the team to maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Communication: Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, fostering productive relationships across departments.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and operational excellence through problem-solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership capacity. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, along with a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams. Certification in Lean methodologies is advantageous.
Education:
A High School Diploma is required.
Work Schedule:
This position typically follows a Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shift, with flexibility to work other shifts as necessary.
