The role of the Lead Manufacturing Technician at Lonza involves mastering the production processes to effectively guide the manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership:
Oversee and direct safety, quality, and daily production operations. Provide assistance and troubleshooting for complex process and equipment issues. - Safety Compliance:
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and training for team members. Proactively identify and report safety incidents. - Quality Assurance:
Maintain compliance with cGMP, ISO, and quality system standards. Responsible for inspection readiness and managing minor deviations. - Staff Development:
Facilitate training for manufacturing personnel, ensuring completion and documentation of individual training plans. - Documentation Management:
Ensure compliance with ISO/GMP documentation requirements, collaborating with the manufacturing team to develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Effective Communication:
Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, fostering productive relationships across departments. - Innovation and Improvement:
Encourage independent thinking and problem-solving to support team success through operational excellence.
Qualifications:
5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership capacity. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, along with a collaborative approach at all organizational levels. Lean certification is advantageous.
Education:
High School Diploma required.
