The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in supporting both the Service Team and our valued clients.
Key responsibilities encompass engaging with customers to assess their needs, delivering clear and detailed instructions for technicians, estimating and scheduling necessary work, and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and promptly. Additionally, this role involves invoicing and securing payments efficiently before the departure of vessels.
Core Responsibilities- Assist the Service Team and clients effectively.
- Act as the primary liaison between customers and the Service Manager to identify needs.
- Provide precise instructions on work orders for technicians.
- Estimate and coordinate all required services.
- Ensure timely completion of all work orders.
- Generate invoices for services rendered by the service departments.
- Collect payments in a timely manner.
- Consistently meet ongoing company objectives.
- Be available for overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
Adhere to SHM Safety and Environmental protocols and complete all required training.
Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment as required for specific tasks or work areas.
Report all incidents, injuries, spills, and near misses immediately.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a marina setting is preferred.
- ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications are advantageous.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Enthusiasm for engaging in a dynamic, fast-paced, and industry-leading organization.
- Consistently treat others with respect and dignity.
- Demonstrate genuine service to others with a positive attitude.
- Exhibit a proactive approach to tasks.
- Communicate effectively and courteously to foster strong internal and external networks.
