Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to oversee the coordination, implementation, and entertainment provided by the recreation entertainers, while exceeding guest expectations and creating an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.

Responsibilities:
  • Report to work on time and in uniform when scheduled
  • Enthusiastically greet and converse with guests
  • Promote all programs
  • Maintain clear communication with essential departments
  • Actively participate in the assurance of the safety and fun of all programs
  • Assist with general Resort duties as assigned
  • Treat everyone, managers, associates, and guests with courtesy and respect at all times
  • Become efficient with the Point Of Sales system
  • Assist with routine cleaning of all recreation areas and equipment
  • Cross utilize in all areas of recreation when scheduled to do so
  • Complete daily checklists in their entirety
  • Properly complete recreation agreements as needed
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:
  • Supervisor Responsibilities – Primary Function: Oversee all Recreation associates holding them to established performance standards and excellent customer service
  • Help develop long-range plans for the department
  • Using mirror image, lead by example
  • Assist recreation managers in all operational aspects of the recreation department
  • Attend staff department meetings communicating pertinent information to associates and managers
  • Update on a timely basis to the Recreation Managers on all workings of the department
  • To oversee and operate all social and group recreation programs and assist in the maintenance and upkeep of recreation facilities
Just For Families Events:
  • Create an atmosphere of a themed ambiance to entertain social guests
  • Engage guests at events in different activities
  • Properly take care of and store equipment neatly for easy usage
  • Responsible for upkeep of AV equipment
Teen Tours:
  • Learn all areas of the tours offered through this program
  • Become efficient in riding a Segway, paddling a Kayak, and controlling a stand-up Paddle Board
  • Efficiently react in a first-responder way to accidents, injuries, and safety by using first aid
  • Learn facts about property in the nature and sightseeing sense in order to teach teens during tours
  • Appropriately order and retrieve lunch/dinner for camp
  • Oversee the teen room, "Gamers"
Deck Attendant:
  • Using a hose, rinse off the deck space daily
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the deck space
  • Organize the lounge chairs in an orderly fashion
  • Maintain the lounge chairs with weekly cleaning
  • Maintain the equipment used to clean the deck
  • Update the details of the weather board (sunrise, sunset, high tide, low tide, etc)
  • Respectfully assist guests
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the information huts
  • Responsible for setting the umbrellas up
  • Collect deck litter and remove full trash bins
  • Appropriately organize the towels in the huts as needed
Tally Ho:
  • Properly check in and out guests
  • Appropriately organize the towels in the huts as needed
  • Provide property-wide information to all guests
  • Properly fill out and file recreation agreements
  • Greet guests immediately with undivided attention
  • Up sell retail items
  • Promote activities
  • Maintain the cleanliness of Tally Ho and other areas utilized by Recreation department
Group Recreation:
  • Plan and implement agendas, activities, children's camps, etc
  • Work closely with Dir. of Recreation, Supervisors, and other associates
  • Independently run programs
  • Professionally represent the department and be a professional point person for group contacts
  • Officiate tournaments
  • Learn the booking procedures of third-party companies
