Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed plans for each catered event in conjunction with our function committee, ensuring that every detail is taken care of.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train banquet staff, ensuring they are well-groomed and in proper uniforms, and that they provide exceptional service to our guests.
  • Sales and Marketing: Assist with ongoing sales efforts for group and local banquet business, working closely with our sales team to drive revenue growth.
  • Operations and Logistics: Prepare weekly service schedules, utilizing staff effectively while controlling labor costs, and ensure that all banquet staff is aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of banquet experience, with prior food and beverage operations experience at a banquet director level in an upscale/luxury hotel or restaurant.
  • Skills: Positive and outgoing attitude, basic understanding of food terminology and cooking techniques, working knowledge of food ingredients and wine service, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, up to 6 hours, with few opportunities to sit or rest, and ability to move quickly throughout various areas of the Club for operations and troubleshooting.
