The Director of Operations is responsible for working with the President and developing and overseeing the organization's day-to-day activities to ensure efficiency and productivity. This individual will also collaborate with the Senior Director of Shared Services regarding shared services at Energy Access Innovations, the parent company.

The key objective of the role is to ensure business activities are aligned with the organization's overall strategic objectives, with a strong focus on organizational development. Key duties include strategic planning, resource allocation, process development, and improvement. This role involves collaborating with all department leaders to enhance organizational effectiveness, manage budgets, and implement operational policies to drive success in a multi-channel sales and services environment.

A successful candidate must be able to:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and objectives through working collaboratively with executives and other leaders to ensure alignment with the overall organizational strategy.

  • Responsible for driving organizational development initiatives and implementing change management processes to enhance overall business effectiveness and align organizational structure with company strategy.

  • Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including budgets and personnel resources, to maximize operational effectiveness.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of operational activities with business objectives.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate operational performance with department leaders.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and streamline operations.

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.

  • All other duties as assigned.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in operations management, with a proven track record in a leadership role.

  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive operational excellence.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex operational challenges.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.

  • Sound decision-making ability in high-pressure situations with a focus on long-term goals.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with teams from different departments to align goals and ensure cohesive operations.

  • Capability to collaborate during organizational change, guiding teams through transitions and ensuring a smooth adaptation to new processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field; or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in multi-channel sales and services within Business to Business and Direct to Consumer.

  • 10-plus years in a senior management position.
