Senior Systems Engineer Acquisition Specialist

Arcfield is seeking a highly skilled Systems Acquisition Engineer to support the Enterprise Space Communications Architecture mission. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and acquisition of space and ground-based systems, ensuring successful development efforts and delivery of cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities- Technical Advisory Services: Provide technical and programmatic advisory services during program execution, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry best practices.
- Technical Progress Tracking: Track technical progress, identify risks, and assess technical solutions in collaboration with development teams, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Acquisition and Systems Engineering Support: Provide Acquisition and Systems Engineering Support for the design and delivery of critical components, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Acquisition Strategies and Documentation: Develop acquisition strategies and documentation to facilitate program development and implementation, including statements of work, contract data requirements lists, and proposal evaluation criteria.
- Acquisition Planning and Execution: Support acquisition planning, solicitation, evaluation, award, and execution using various contracting methods, ensuring effective management of the acquisition process.
- Proposal Evaluation and Advisory Services: Provide acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluations of proposals, ensuring objective and unbiased evaluation of proposals.
- System Requirements and Transition: Coordinate across Program Offices to collaborate on system requirements and transition prototype hardware to baseline programs, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of systems.
- Security Clearance: Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's (or equivalent) in engineering related field with 12 to 15 years of experience or 10 to 13 years of experience with master's in engineering related field or 8 to 10 years of experience with Ph.D. in engineering related field.
- Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) Support: Experience with Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) support, including proficiency in acquisition and contracting strategies, plans, and associated documents.
- Space Communication or Related Field: Experience in Space Communication or related field, including strong technical background with expertise in evaluating and integrating complex systems solutions.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products, as well as excellent organization and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with personnel at all levels of government.
- Detail-Oriented and Quality-Focused: Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products for planning and communication, including collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Confluence.
- Collaboration Tools: Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Confluence.
- Space Communications Technology: Technical background in space communications technology, including understanding of networking protocols and functions.
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)/Digital Engineering: Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)/Digital Engineering.
