Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The Clinical Director for Palliative Care Services is responsible for providing medical direction and support to our hospice staff to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Direction: Provide direct and indirect medical supervision to team physicians and Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs), ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
  • Clinical Management: Collaborate with our IDT to develop and implement effective care plans, leveraging expertise in palliative care to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Staff Education: Provide ongoing education and training to our staff on topics related to palliative care, ensuring they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional care.
  • Liaison Activities: Serve as a liaison between our organization and the medical community, fostering relationships with local healthcare providers and promoting collaborative care initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance processes, including periodic chart reviews, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Prior experience working with terminally ill patients
  • Board certification or eligibility in Hospice & Palliative Medicine preferred
  • Active unrestricted Ohio license to practice Osteopathic or Allopathic Medicine
  • Unrestricted DEA license
  • CPR certification
  • Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care
  • Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime, or inclement weather
  • Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
  • State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
