JOB TITLE: Member Experience Specialist (MES) or Aspiring Personal Trainer

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Hourly

SALARY: Starting at $15.00 per hour, with additional commission potential of $2 - $4 for memberships and personal training sales

ROLE PURPOSE

If you aspire to become a Personal Trainer but are in the process of obtaining your certification, the Member Experience Specialist role is an ideal starting point. The MES is tasked with providing a fun and meaningful experience for our members and guests during each visit. Responsibilities include warmly welcoming members, fostering personal connections, promptly addressing concerns, organizing equipment, and maintaining a pristine facility. This is achieved through adherence to our operational standards. The MES team plays a crucial role in making a positive first impression of VASA Fitness, promoting memberships, facilitating upgrades, and guiding guests and members throughout the gym.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exhibit a genuine and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and members.
  • Welcome guests and members with a smile, maintaining eye contact and a courteous tone.
  • Anticipate the needs of guests and members, providing clear guidance, accurate information, and support through our tools and technology.
  • Familiarize yourself with our membership options, pricing, amenities, add-on features, and class formats.
  • Conduct club tours following the Guest to Member Journey, sell memberships, assist members with upgrades, schedule personal training consultations, and enroll members in personal training sessions.
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance the Guest and Member experience by sharing feedback with leadership and collaborating with the team to implement improvements.
  • Fulfill daily responsibilities to VASA's high standards by adhering to guest and member check-in processes, completing daily cleaning tasks, conducting hourly club inspections, restocking merchandise, and processing REVIVE sales.
