Coordinator of Food Assistance Programs

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Boston seeks a highly motivated and organized Food Pantry Coordinator to lead our food distribution services. In this vital role, you will oversee the daily operations of our primary Food Pantry location, supervising staff and volunteers, managing food donations, and collaborating with community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
Essential Duties
- Supervise and coordinate food pantry staff and volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service
- Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers, government agencies, and community organizations to secure resources and support
- Recruit and manage volunteers to enhance program capacity and community engagement
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and data management to inform decision-making and optimize resource allocation
- Participate in internal and external meetings, trainings, and events to stay informed and share best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Nutrition, or related field; 2+ years of supervisory experience in human services required
- Valid driver's license with 5+ years of driving experience; comfortable driving large vehicles (16' & 26')
- Bi-lingual speaking ability a plus;
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail a must
Compensation and Benefits
