This role involves evening shifts with a Saturday rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
The pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and financially prudent use of medications. This includes:
- Entering clinician orders into the designated computer system.
- Processing prescriptions as per clinician directives.
- Supervising the activities of pharmacy technicians.
- Providing comprehensive drug information to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
- Executing pharmacy duties in compliance with Federal, State, local Health System, and Department regulations and guidelines.
Compensation:
Position Compensation Range: $83.94 Hourly
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required
- Experience: No prior experience necessary
- Licensure: Valid Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
The role necessitates standing and traveling for extended periods. Candidates must possess proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and the ability to write legibly are essential. The ability to lift, push, or pull less than 20 lbs is required. Exposure to chemicals may occur.
