Ascent Aviation Services is a leading aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, storage, and reclamation operations company. We are seeking a motivated and career-minded GSE Mechanic Apprentice to join our team.

Job Purpose

The GSE Mechanic Apprentice will gain experience and knowledge to become a skilled GSE Mechanic through on-the-job training and potentially combined with a trade program or other schooling.

Responsibilities
  • Receive work orders and obtain necessary tools for repairs.
  • Transport vehicles to be repaired by driving, towing, or pushing into the service bay.
  • Inspect parts and motor vehicles to identify defective or broken parts.
  • Repair hydraulic, electric, and mechanical systems, including diesel engines, batteries, tires, oil, and other minor repairs.
  • Obtain replacement parts, install, and make repairs as required.
  • Confers with a manager or GSE mechanics for complex repairs.
  • Complete work orders and provide status on open work orders.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Maintenance Technical training or Job-Related Experience.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
Working Conditions

The GSE Mechanic Apprentice will work in a fast-paced environment with physical demands including lifting, standing, sitting, bending, and walking. The employee will be required to operate man-lifts, scissor-lifts, pick-up trucks, and forklifts. Potential hazards include noise exposure and chemical exposure.
