Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Weil Foot & Ankle Institute. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients to gather medical history and update medical records
  • Gather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulse
  • Prepare treatment rooms and patients for exam
  • Sterilize instruments and set up in-office procedure trays
  • Manage medical supplies and materials and work with operational leaders to order necessary inventory
  • Take x-rays
  • Medical Assistants will be cross-trained to cover front desk activities when needed
  • Other duties will support the physician and team with patient care activities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required, higher or continuing education a plus
  • Medical Assistant certification with 2 years in a healthcare position preferred
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a wound
  • Strong communication skills and ability to actively listen
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Strong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office duties
  • Customer service skills
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
Work Environment

This role will be assigned to cover a geographic area, and local travel may be required to locations within your assigned region. The role must have reliable transportation and be able to travel from site to site, as assigned.
