Position Type:
Full-time / Part-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients to their scheduled medical visits.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes, and steering are in optimal condition. Report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
- Assist clients with mobility challenges and personal care needs.
- Follow established safety protocols, including COVID-19 guidelines.
- Educate clients on safe riding practices.
- Maintain effective communication with dispatch and team members.
- Document and report any incidents, vehicle damages, or mechanical failures.
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is kept clean and properly fueled.
- Operate wheelchair and gurney lifts as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum age requirement of 20 years.
- Prior experience as a NEMT driver is preferred, but candidates with relevant driving experience will be considered.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to complete First Aid & CPR training successfully.
- Exhibit a positive demeanor, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate nature.
- Capable of managing high-pressure situations with professionalism and care.
This position offers competitive compensation and benefits. We are looking for responsible and committed individuals who wish to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Compensation: $75 to $120 per day
