GENERAL OVERVIEW:
QuadMed is seeking a passionate Healthcare Assistant in a dynamic environment. If you are a dedicated healthcare professional who prioritizes meaningful interactions with patients and strives for positive health outcomes, this role is tailored for you.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Accurately records patient vital signs
- Supports medical personnel during patient assessments
- Provides clear instructions to patients and ensures thorough documentation
- Manages supplies, equipment, and medical instruments
- Conducts routine screening tests and laboratory work
- Administers medications and vaccinations
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times
- Engages in professional development activities and practice collaborations
- Handles front office responsibilities
- Assists with patient referrals as needed
- Performs additional assigned tasks
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program or similar educational background
Experience:
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Experience in phlebotomy and laboratory procedures
- Experience in front office operations
Certifications and Licenses:
- Current CPR (BLS) certification required
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong commitment to preventive healthcare
- Exceptional communication abilities
- Capability to work effectively with diverse populations
