Health Information Management Manager

Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Health Information Management Manager to oversee the activities of our Health Information Management department. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our health information systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversight of organization-wide health information management functions, including coordination of and access to complete medical records, accuracy, and timely record completion, accurate DRG, ICD-10 and CPT coding, release of information, and CDI.
- Ensures continuous provider communication and education regarding coding and documentation.
- Assists in denial appeal processing.
- Manages and coordinates the development and integration of information systems related to health information.
- Responsible for performing evaluation, design, testing, implementation, upgrades, support, and maintenance of HIM applications.
- Responsible for build and oversight of the patient portal. Assist customers of the patient portal in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining departmental job descriptions, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures regulatory compliance with accrediting body, CMS, HIPAA, and state and federal agencies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or Healthcare Administration or related field or combination of 4+ years in healthcare management with at least 4 years work experience in HIM department.
- Certification as an RHIT or RHIA.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills used for both implementation and support of the HIM applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the experience to define and document policies and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to lead direct and motivate the staff as a strong functional leader, while also exhibiting the steady reliability and teamwork attitude needed to effectively interface with the other functional areas of the hospital.
