Key Responsibilities:
Oversee month-end reconciliation for Cash Control ledgers.
Process and allocate cash receipts for State Insurance.
Evaluate reports to validate daily payment files submitted to the agency.
Serve as a point of contact with banking partners to rectify deposit discrepancies and address public inquiries.
Authorize cash transfers between accounts.

Qualifications:
42 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, including advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software.

Alternatively, completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field; 18 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, including advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software.

Or completion of a graduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field; 6 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, including advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software.

Or 12 months of experience as a Financial Analyst.

Or equivalent qualifications as specified above.

Note:
Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may substitute for 4 months of the required accounting/fiscal experience mentioned above.

Job Skills:

Compensation Information:

The hourly wage is anticipated to start at step 1 of the pay range for new state employees.

Current state employees will be placed in the appropriate step based on relevant union contracts and/or Ohio Revised Code requirements.

Advancement to the next step in the pay range will occur after six months, contingent upon satisfactory job performance.

Subsequent annual advancements will occur until the maximum step of the pay range is achieved.

Cost of living adjustments (COLA) and longevity supplements may be available after five years of state service.
