Senior Logistics Finance Analyst
Overview:
As a Senior Logistics Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the analysis of logistics expenditures and assisting business units in comprehending their freight costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior analysts on monthly financial closing processes, including all planning, forecasting, and reporting models.
- Assist business units in understanding freight costs at the material level through sophisticated analysis.
- Demonstrate the ability to cultivate strategic partnerships with business stakeholders, influencing decision-making processes. Quickly identify root causes of issues using data and guide the business in understanding how decisions impact costs.
- Support the logistics operations team in identifying and developing key business opportunities to enhance efficiency.
- Exhibit expertise in gathering, analyzing, and managing quantitative data to produce insightful analyses that drive business improvements and cost reductions.
- Partner with logistics, IT, and supply chain teams to eliminate unnecessary costs.
- Show a proven history of taking ownership and achieving results both independently and through teamwork.
- Display a strong capability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem-solving.
- Work effectively with business leaders to achieve results, utilizing data to persuade and inform.
- Maintain a focus on continuous process improvement, demonstrating the ability to innovate and simplify both financial and operational processes.
- Possess the ability to think strategically while also managing detailed implementation tasks.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science).
- A minimum of 4 years of progressive finance experience in roles such as Finance Analyst, Cost Analyst, or Operations Analyst.
- Strong critical thinking and strategic mindset.
- Proficient in Material Cost Planning & Analysis, Financial Analysis, and Budgeting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global setting across various time zones.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Strong experience with SAP/Business Warehouse.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (including Filters, Pivots, Dynamic Charts, Formulas, VLOOKUP), Power BI, and MS PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and U.S. accounting regulations.
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, use hands to type, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, view a computer terminal, and do extensive reading. May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and move a light to medium weight. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and learn technical information. Light lifting is required.
What We Offer:
Base Pay Range: $75,000 - $111,210.00
The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable.
Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
