Role Overview: Senior Client Services Specialist, Employee Benefits
As a Senior Client Services Specialist, you will be instrumental in promoting service excellence for our clients, distinguishing us from our competitors. Your daily interactions with clients and members will facilitate their understanding and utilization of their benefits coverage as they navigate the complexities of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with Client Managers and Producers to provide outstanding client service and engage clients and members in their employee benefit programs.
  • Address day-to-day service inquiries, including claims, billing, eligibility, enrollment, and coverage issues.
  • Utilize the Agency Management System to track service activities, documenting intake, status, and resolution of client inquiries.
  • Assist clients in onboarding new employees and members, ensuring proper enrollment in selected plans through online systems.
  • Manage billing and reconciliation issues to ensure accurate invoicing and enrollment.
  • Communicate benefit coverage details to employees and members, including open enrollment options and available plan choices.
  • Update the Agency Management System with current policy and coverage information.
  • Support benefit enrollment processes by preparing materials and coordinating with carriers.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and collaborate with the service and sales teams to address escalated issues.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in health and welfare plans, preferably in a benefit carrier service center or consulting/brokerage environment.
  • A strong client service orientation with a commitment to timely responses to inquiries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A keen attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of employee benefit plan designs and relevant systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A State Life and Health license within 90 days of hire.
