Position Overview
As a Senior Pharmacy Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring the effective preparation and distribution of medications as per prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:

  • Coordinate daily pharmacy activities in alignment with established protocols to maintain optimal operational efficiency and uphold patient care standards.
  • Assign tasks and manage pharmacy staff to ensure comprehensive service delivery and completion of essential duties.
  • Review and prioritize work orders to enhance the workflow within the pharmacy, ensuring timely processing and distribution of medications.
  • Act as a resource for pharmacy personnel, providing guidance on drug distribution and pharmacy management.
  • Monitor medication orders and departmental records to guarantee compliance with professional standards and established procedures.
  • Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members and supervise pharmacy students during their clinical training.
  • Engage collaboratively with healthcare professionals to foster a customer-focused environment, promoting patient satisfaction and positive outcomes.
  • Address inquiries and clarify pharmacy policies and procedures to staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues, escalating concerns to the Pharmacy Director as necessary.
  • Provide pharmaceutical services as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to safety and risk management protocols.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient profiles for potential drug interactions and appropriateness before dispensing medications.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all pharmacy transactions and maintain compliance with departmental policies.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and maintaining adequate supplies of pharmaceuticals and related materials.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental performance enhancement activities.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A degree from an accredited Pharmacy program (M.S. or Pharm D).
  • Current licensure as a Pharmacist.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacy setting.

Physical Requirements
This role may require:

  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of materials.
  • Occasional climbing and balancing.
