Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct geological assessments to support various engineering studies, including earthquake hazard and geotechnical evaluations.
  • Design and execute field exploration, testing, and instrumentation initiatives.
  • Carry out geological reconnaissance and mapping activities.
  • Oversee observation and testing processes during construction phases.
  • Analyze soil and rock slope stability.
  • Interpret geological data from soil samples and develop geological profiles.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and technical reports.
  • Engage with clients, subcontractors, and team members at all levels.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to junior engineers and staff.
  • Review technical documents and calculations completed by less experienced employees.
  • Support marketing and business development efforts, including cost proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Adhere to Quality Assurance protocols.
  • Promote and follow Health & Safety and Loss Prevention policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Geological Engineering, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Geology.
  • A minimum of 14 years of experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) License in the relevant state.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising staff.
Position Level

Depending on an applicant's educational background, experience, and qualifications, a Senior Geotechnical Engineer may be positioned at an Associate or Senior Associate level within our organization.
