Your Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the direction, completion, and financial performance of multiple small to medium-sized projects or a single large project. You will lead a team of project managers and assistant project managers to achieve outstanding results for our clients. This role also involves proactively identifying new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the framework of corporate guidelines.
  • Supervise daily operations and administration of projects, including managing multiple Project Managers.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Project Managers on company philosophies and operational systems.
  • Negotiate and oversee the preparation of all project change orders.
  • Maintain comprehensive logs to monitor project progress.
  • Oversee the Project Assistant in maintaining essential project tracking systems.
  • Act as a liaison with primary clients and architects/engineers to facilitate construction activities.
  • Monitor construction progress in collaboration with onsite supervisors to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Address any significant issues that arise and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Represent the company in meetings with clients and subcontractors.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports regarding project costs.
  • Manage the financial aspects of contracts, including billing and expense tracking, while maintaining positive client relationships.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in electrical construction.
  • Combination of education, training, and relevant experience is acceptable.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and managing teams.
  • Experience in business development and client engagement is a plus.
  • Ability to adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Oracle and Accubid is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements positively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
Travel Requirements

Travel may be required 10-25% of the time.

Working Conditions

The work environment may vary, with responsibilities performed both in an office setting and at job sites. The role may involve exposure to different environmental conditions, including noise levels that can range from low to medium, and may occasionally be loud at job sites. Physical demands may include lifting up to 30 lbs.
