Position Overview:

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Adult Care Transport Team, you will play a pivotal role in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients during transport. This position operates under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, Administrative Director, and Medical Director.

Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and achieving optimal health outcomes. You will have the autonomy to function in an advanced clinical capacity, encompassing responsibilities in clinical care, leadership, education, consultation, and research.

Contributing to quality care is paramount, and you will utilize performance improvement strategies to enhance patient care outcomes. Additionally, you will assist in developing systems and processes aimed at elevating the quality of care and increasing nursing efficiency throughout the transport continuum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, and oversee the unit preceptor program in collaboration with nursing leadership.
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology, applying sound judgment in clinical interventions based on patient conditions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in transport equipment, emergency care protocols, and patient management in diverse transport environments.
  • Foster collaborative relationships and implement effective team-building strategies.
  • Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions and safety protocols effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in critical care settings, including adult, pediatric, or neonatal care.
  • Experience in critical care transport is preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Current certification in CPR is required.
  • Educational Requirement: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
