Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Academic Neurologist, with a strong preference for candidates specializing in Epileptology or Clinical Neurophysiology. This role offers a unique chance to become part of a prestigious institution committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurophysiology services.
  • Deliver consultative services to medical professionals in affiliated healthcare facilities.
  • Oversee resident clinics and engage actively in our extensive teaching programs, fostering the development of residents and medical students.
  • Diagnose and manage adults with neurological disorders, including the interpretation of EEGs, video EEG monitoring, intraoperative monitoring, and evoked potentials.
  • Contribute to scientific advancement through research and scholarly activities.
  • Participate in institutional governance and committee work to serve the academic community.
  • Engage in community service that aligns with the institution's mission.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD or DO Degree
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program
  • Eligibility for Texas Medical License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Fellowship training in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology from an accredited program
  • Board certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Recognized regionally or nationally in the specialty for associate professor or higher level
  • Certification and/or experience in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology
