The Nutritional Care Specialist (REMOTE) plays a vital role in crafting personalized nutritional plans tailored to each patient’s needs. This position also involves creating or sourcing educational materials related to nutrition. The specialist will provide guidance to patients, families, and caregivers regarding prescribed dietary plans while monitoring compliance and therapeutic responses.
This role is Remote with some travel, requiring reliable transportation for local commitments.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the clinical management of current and prospective nutrition patients as part of the Nutrition Support Team.
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote the nutrition program and enhance profitability through targeted marketing efforts.
- Work closely with pharmacy, clinical, and sales personnel to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Assist regional management in strategizing and executing plans to expand the nutrition business, focusing on specific goals and account insights.
- Develop, implement, and oversee enteral and parenteral nutrition therapies to address patients' nutritional deficiencies.
- Review patient medical histories and relevant lab results to evaluate home nutrition support protocols and recommend interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home nutrition therapies, assessing their understanding and adherence to dietary guidelines.
- Collaborate with management to uphold the Performance Improvement Program and maintain accreditation standards.
- Conduct educational sessions for referral sources, healthcare providers, and nursing agencies on clinical topics related to patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian with a valid license to practice in the required states; certification as a Nutrition Support Clinician is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
- High levels of self-motivation, adaptability, and the ability to perform under pressure.
- A valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.
- Must meet company standards for driving record and age requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not include supervisory duties.
