Clinical Nurse Overview

Available Shifts:
Full-Time 7 AM - 7 PM and 7 PM - 7 AM.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions of the Registered Nurse

  • Assess and coordinate care based on patients' physical and mental health requirements.
  • Formulate and execute nursing care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and educate patients and their families regarding various health conditions.
  • Deliver nursing care in accordance with established standards and state regulations.
  • Ensure clarity and accuracy of physicians' orders.
  • Continuously evaluate patients' conditions and document relevant information.
  • Alert physicians to significant changes in patient status.
  • Complete initial nursing care plans upon patient admission.
  • Apply universal precautions in all patient care activities.
  • Administer medications accurately as prescribed.
  • Document controlled substance administration appropriately.
  • Efficiently manage admission and discharge processes.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic rapport with patients.
  • Oversee unit activities as directed.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications

Education, Licensure, Experience, and Skills

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • Possession of a current Registered Nurse (RN) license as mandated by state law.
  • A minimum of one year of nursing experience; experience in psychiatric or substance abuse nursing is advantageous.
  • Certification in CPR and de-escalation techniques is required (training provided upon hire).
  • First aid certification may be necessary based on state or facility regulations.
