Job Title: Technical Support Tech I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Support Tech I to join our team in New Albany, OH. As a Technical Support Tech I, you will be responsible for day-to-day installation of servers and network equipment, structured cabling, project work, and capacity management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with cable vendors to install, inspect, and troubleshoot cabling
  • Installation and maintenance of copper and fiber cable infrastructure
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords
  • Ensure that the Data Center and vendor installations comply with all installation practices
  • Report current status via ticketing system, status reports, email, and slack
  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
  • Maintain accurate records and document problems and processes to successfully draft and execute changes within data centers
  • Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain site cleanliness
  • Work with a partner to move integrated enterprise equipment from loading docks into planned positions
  • Manage, check, and coordinate all materials to be delivered to site daily
  • Carry cell phone for communication, information, and emergencies
Requirements:
  • Ability to work a Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday 6AM to 4:30PM local time schedule
  • Ability to work safely at heights and from ladders
  • Ability to work on your feet conducting site walks and installation tasks for the entirety of an 10-hour shift
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41 pounds or more
