Job Summary

The Assistant Kitchen Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business results. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned food service professional to join our team and contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all guests are greeted and assisted in a friendly and efficient manner, providing accurate and timely information about our products and services.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, including ingredients, preparation methods, and nutritional information, to make informed recommendations to guests.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to manage inventory levels, ensure proper receiving and stocking of goods, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels and sales data.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food safety and quality protocols are followed, including proper handling, storage, and preparation of food, to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Sales and Profitability: Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to analyze sales data, identify trends and opportunities, and develop strategies to drive sales and profitability.
  • Merchandising and Visual Display: Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to create visually appealing displays and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment that showcases our products in an attractive and appealing way.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a front-of-house restaurant manager or equivalent in the retail, restaurant, or hospitality industry.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Nutrition, or Hotel/Restaurant Management preferred.
  • Skills: Proven oral and written communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
