Clinical Informatics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team at Prevea Health. As a key member of our Information & Technology Services (ITS) team, you will serve as a liaison between ITS and clinical practice, ensuring seamless integration of clinical applications and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between ITS and clinical practice, reporting issues and working through solutions.
- Participate in projects, upgrades, and updates of clinical applications.
- Provide application troubleshooting and education to clinical end users.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve application, Electronic Health Records, and other software issues.
- Perform testing to recreate issues and validate solutions.
- Provide prompt response and end-user support for Service Now tickets.
- Provide one on one training, education, and communication to end users and departments impacted in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other 3rd party applications.
- Support the end user by providing continuous support and identifying opportunities for clinical information system improvements.
- Partner with clinicians to identify and facilitate efficient documentation workflows within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Improve clinical/departmental workflows and define solutions within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or other clinical applications.
- Perform current state workflow analysis, participate in design of solutions for new requests, and define future state workflows.
- Responsible for organizational review of Electronic Health Records (EHR) releases/updates/upgrades to determine the impact on clinicians and workflows.
- Collaborate with IT, technical, clinical, and management teams on projects and in evaluating EMR issues.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in business, information technology, healthcare, or related field.
- 1-3 years work experience in a clinical setting within a health care organization.
- 1-3 years experience with Clinical Information Systems (CIS) such as EPIC, Dragon, Doc Halo, etc.
- Ability to operate a computer and understand the language used in working with a specific system or systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of how Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and Clinical Applications are used in Clinical practice setting.
- Certified as an Epic Clinical Informaticist within 1 Year.
