We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team at Prevea Health. As a key member of our Clinical Optimization Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless integration of healthcare technology with clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve application, Electronic Health Records, and other software issues, collaborating with users and IT staff to achieve results.
- Provide one-on-one training, education, and communication to end-users and departments impacted by Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other 3rd party applications.
- Support end-users by providing continuous support and identifying opportunities for clinical information system improvements, partnering with clinicians to facilitate efficient documentation workflows within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Improve clinical/departmental workflows and define solutions within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or other clinical applications that have financial, quality, and clinical impact on the organization.
- Conduct organizational review of Electronic Health Records (EHR) releases/updates/upgrades to determine the impact on clinicians and workflows, and perform testing of clinical information systems prior to upgrades and new technical build.
- Collaborate with IT, technical, clinical, and management teams on projects and in evaluating EMR issues, assisting in testing of upcoming changes and current system issues related to clinical workflow.
- Associate's Degree in business, information technology, healthcare, or related field.
- 1-3 years of work experience in a clinical setting within a healthcare organization.
- 1-3 years of experience with Clinical Information Systems (CIS) such as EPIC, Dragon, Doc Halo, etc.
- Certified as an Epic Clinical Informaticist within 1 year.
This role requires the ability to operate a computer and understand the language used in working with specific systems or systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors, with the ability to form relationships with peers and communicate effectively with end-users.
