Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and technically adept outside sales professional who is eager to leverage their skills to promote the advantages of our products to prospective clients, demonstrating how our offerings surpass those of competitors.

Experience is preferred but not mandatory due to our comprehensive FSE Training Program. The sales territories are situated in the Grand Rapids area. This role is remote; however, candidates must reside within the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a strategic business plan for the territory, identifying target accounts to achieve sales growth objectives.
2. Provide insights and recommendations regarding distributor account statuses, including potential deletions or additions, and review these quarterly with input from the regional sales manager.
3. Cultivate and expand business with existing end-user accounts while overseeing the associated distributors.
4. Actively pursue new end-user accounts and manage distributor relationships.
5. Maintain an updated list of end users within the territory.
6. Assess and recommend adjustments to distributor stocking and discount programs to motivate and achieve sales targets.
7. Inspire distributor sales teams to enhance company sales through various initiatives, including product knowledge and application support.
8. Maintain a high level of technical expertise regarding all company products, ensuring clear communication with distributors and end users.
9. Develop OEM accounts as directed by the regional sales manager.
10. Stay informed about company sales policies and communicate any changes to distributors.
11. Conduct workshops or seminars for distributors and end users as necessary.
12. Ensure timely reporting of itineraries, expense reports, testing and trial order records, and business reports to facilitate effective communication with all stakeholders.
13. Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
14. Participate in special assignments as directed by the regional sales manager (e.g., attendance at tool shows).


Qualifications:
Education:
2-year engineering or technology degree or equivalent work experience; a 4-year degree is preferred.

Experience:
Prior machining experience is preferred, but training programs are available.

Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
