Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Analyst to join our team at North Wind Group. As a Business Development Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing market trends, competitor landscapes, and customer behaviors to support business development reporting, initiatives, and pipeline health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide key support to routine and non-routine business development reporting at all levels of the organization.
- Analyze routine and complex data sets to identify and interpret trends and/or patterns.
- Conduct market research to support the identification of business opportunities and potential clients.
- Identify, monitor, and maintain data sources and databases to ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely updates of information.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans and marketing campaigns.
- Conduct competitor analysis as requested.
- Provide administrative support to the business development team.
- Attend conferences, industry days, and other related events as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Zero to two years of experience in a business development or related role.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of data mining and client relationship management software a plus.
- Familiarity with statistics and analyzing datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proactive, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with government acquisition types, processes, and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some experience as a business development analyst in a related industry.
- Some experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
Physical Demands:
This position is primarily a sedentary role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be sitting for long periods of time, but will also be required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is often required to use hands or fingers to handle, feel, type, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. May require travel up to 10% of the time for 1-2 site visits.
Working Environment:
This position is generally in an office setting with low to moderate noise. If attendance is required, work environment may include conferences and industry days with large audiences.
