Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant in California, Maryland. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional speech and language services to students, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs and goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to improve students' speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' educational goals and objectives.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support students' communication development and academic success.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments and therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Maryland license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and diverse stakeholders.
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
  • Valid Maryland license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the Maryland State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Maryland Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public schools.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards set by ASHA and the Maryland State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
