Overview: Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to our students, ensuring they receive the support needed to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Perform detailed assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Create and implement IEPs tailored to students' specific needs.
  • Speech and Language Therapy: Deliver speech and language therapy to students individually and in group settings.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student progress.
  • Record Keeping: Keep detailed records of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress.
  • IEP Meetings: Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional advice and recommendations.
  • Screenings and Consultations: Conduct screenings and provide consultation services when necessary.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in speech-language pathology and apply best practices.
  • Staff Education: Educate and support school staff on speech and language development issues.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid Pennsylvania state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • State Certification: Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education for Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of IDEA and other special education regulations.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience: Experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
  • Pennsylvania State License: Must possess and maintain a valid license to practice speech-language pathology in Pennsylvania.
  • ASHA Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification: Certification for Speech-Language Pathologists, meeting all state educational and examination requirements.
