- Screenings and Consultations: Conduct screenings and provide consultation services when necessary.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in speech-language pathology and apply best practices.
- Staff Education: Educate and support school staff on speech and language development issues.
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid Pennsylvania state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- State Certification: Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education for Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of IDEA and other special education regulations.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience: Experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Pennsylvania State License: Must possess and maintain a valid license to practice speech-language pathology in Pennsylvania.

- Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification: Certification for Speech-Language Pathologists, meeting all state educational and examination requirements.
