Join Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist

UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of rehabilitation professionals.

About the Role

As a Speech Language Pathologist at UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital, you will be responsible for assessing patients' communication and swallowing disorders, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. You will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, utilizing the latest therapeutic technologies and techniques to help patients achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing disorders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers to promote independence and self-advocacy
  • Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY)
  • Licensure in the state of California
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification
