ROLE PURPOSE: This centralized role is responsible for the management and procurement of equipment parts and tools utilized by our maintenance team. The focus is on ensuring the best cost and quality components are sourced within the required timelines to enhance maintenance efficiency and maximize operational uptime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate all purchase requests from the maintenance department using the CMMS application.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels that align with production demands while ensuring cost-effectiveness through on-demand planning tools.
  • Conduct thorough research and evaluation of parts requests in collaboration with maintenance supervisors, planners, and technicians to secure the best quality, pricing, and lead times.
  • Oversee the MRO inventory and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts.
  • Process all replenishment orders for central stores.
  • Analyze reorder points and quantities, adjusting based on usage history, anticipated needs, and current lead times.
  • Employ LEAN manufacturing principles to enhance departmental efficiency and operational processes.
  • Manage both external and internal repairable parts and equipment.
  • Collaborate with vendors to manage leased parts contracts, assess pricing, and recommend new suppliers as necessary.
  • Work cross-functionally with maintenance teams across various locations to develop and update the corporate parts catalog.
  • Monitor and expedite all purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports as required.
  • Represent Renewal By Andersen professionally and ethically in all interactions with external vendors.
  • Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and/or parts management within a manufacturing context is preferred.
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance, repair, and industrial components.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience in a CMMS system being advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities, capable of managing tight deadlines and multitasking effectively.
  • Demonstrates persistence and seeks alternative solutions when faced with challenges; proactive in addressing tasks.
  • Strong research skills utilizing online resources, manufacturer manuals, etc.
  • Resourceful in navigating systems to achieve reasonable work objectives; adaptable to process changes and new methodologies.
  • Solid decision-making capabilities.
