Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the precise and effective assembly and testing of a range of moderately complex products, ensuring adherence to customer quality standards and timely delivery schedules. Your role may involve tasks such as lockwiring, initial subassembly, and final detailing. You will work with products that include mechanical components, single hydraulic systems, and various part numbers. Your contributions to lean initiatives will be vital in enhancing productivity and minimizing costs. You will receive general guidance from supervisory staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Execute moderately complex assembly and testing tasks using mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, testing equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement devices in a manufacturing setting.
2. Document test outcomes on data forms utilizing moderately complex electrical equipment and flow measurement devices, which may include X-Y recorders, oscilloscopes, transducers, and other related instruments.
3. Detect malfunctions indicated by test data and perform rework as directed.
4. Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives.
5. Produce and inspect assemblies that meet product specifications, ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards during assembly, testing, and/or soldering.
6. Conduct touch-up or complete surface painting of components using finishing materials such as paint, lacquer, and glaze, including mixing paint and cleaning parts.
7. Actively engage in lean initiatives by identifying and suggesting areas for improvement.
8. Provide assistance in training less experienced team members.
9. Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free workspace.
10. Ensure all equipment is calibrated according to the calibration schedule.
11. Undertake other related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
*Steel Toe Shoes are required

Job Requirements:
To excel in this position, you must be capable of fulfilling each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- A minimum of two years of industry-related experience in assembly/testing within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated product and process knowledge, applying it to newly acquired techniques.
- Ability to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Proficient in reading and comprehending blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
- Competence in performing basic mathematical calculations and demonstrating effective verbal, written, and basic computer skills.
- Strong mechanical reasoning abilities.
- Capability to implement and effectively apply lean initiatives.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
- Ability to interpret reports and utilize standard business software applications.
- Proficiency in using employee self-service to access online information and specialized automated systems.
- Soldering certification may be required based on customer specifications.
- Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and engage in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $18.00-$19.50 per hour, with variations based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
