Second shift operates Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Overtime opportunities are available during the week (until midnight or 1:00 am) and occasionally on weekends. Initial training will take place on the first shift for a duration of 30 days before transitioning to the second shift.

Position Overview
The role involves the precise and efficient assembly/testing of a range of moderately complex products to meet customer quality standards and delivery timelines. Responsibilities may include lockwiring, initial subassembly, and final detailing tasks. The position entails working with products that feature mechanical components, single hydraulic systems, and various part numbers. Active participation in lean initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and minimizing costs is expected. General supervisory guidance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct moderately complex assembly/test tasks utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, testing equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement tools in a manufacturing setting.
  • Document test outcomes on data forms using moderately complex electrical devices and flow measurement instruments. Equipment may include X-Y recorders, oscilloscopes, transducers, and other related tools.
  • Identify malfunctions indicated by test data and perform rework as directed.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives.
  • Produce and evaluate assemblies that meet product specifications. Assemble, test, and/or solder in accordance with customer and/or industry standards.
  • Perform touch-up or complete surface painting of components using finishing materials such as paint, lacquer, and glaze. Responsibilities include mixing paint and cleaning parts.
  • Actively engage in lean initiatives by identifying and suggesting areas for improvement.
  • May assist in the training of less experienced team members.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free workspace.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated according to the calibration schedule.
  • May undertake other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
To successfully fulfill this role, individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
A minimum of two years of industry-related experience in assembly/testing within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrate product and process knowledge by applying it to newly acquired techniques.
Ability to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications. Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations and demonstrating effective verbal, written, and basic computer skills.
Possess strong mechanical reasoning abilities.
Capable of implementing and effectively applying lean initiatives.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Able to interpret reports and utilize standard business software applications. Proficient in using employee self-service to access online information and specialized automated systems.
Soldering certification may be required based on customer specifications.
Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and engage in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
