Job Overview
Engage in the manufacturing and assembly of industrial power systems. The role involves wiring power systems and assembling various electrical components. Candidates must possess the ability to interpret schematics and engineering drawings essential for assembly tasks. Proficiency in using hand and power tools such as drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, hammers, and tape measures is required. This position operates in a non-climate controlled environment, necessitating the ability to stand for the duration of the shift. Additionally, the assembler may need to utilize ladders for assembly tasks, with units reaching heights of up to 8 feet.
Essential Skills
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, process sheets, and schematic drawings.
- Experience in wiring electrical components.
- Skilled in utilizing hand tools and power tools.
- Competence in reading a tape measure.
Position Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a duration of 3 months.
Work Environment
The role is conducted entirely on-site in a large, open bay production facility featuring multiple workstations. The production area is not climate controlled; however, industrial-sized ceiling fans are in place to maintain air circulation. Forklifts and manufacturing machinery are present in the workspace. Safety measures include wearing safety shoes, safety glasses, and earplugs when necessary. The standard shift is from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with additional hours from 6:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturdays. Availability to work on Saturdays is a requirement for this position.
