Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Analyst to join our team at PacifiCorp. As an Environmental Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining environmental compliance at our generation facilities and assisting other engineering staff on complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support thermal generation facilities in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Federal Acid Rain Program, New Source Performance Standards, and Mercury and Air Toxics Standards.
  • Complete environmental reporting and assist in quality assurance of data and reports generated by thermal plants.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and support thermal generation facilities in Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new and upcoming changes to regulations affecting environmental compliance.
  • Develop studies of limited scope and prepare data for cost estimations and analyses.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or Engineering, or the equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of environmental issues and company business processes.
  • Data gathering, analysis, interpretation, trending, forecasting, and modeling skills.
  • Knowledge of data gathering, analysis, forecasting, and modeling techniques, applicable company policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers, including complex software applications, spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues that may be sensitive in nature.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization, including people with different styles and backgrounds, and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize workload under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in environmental or regulatory matters.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and reporting.
  • Knowledge of air, hazardous waste, solid waste, or water issues.
