Job Title: Aspen Music Festival Scenic Craftsman

About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to join the Aspen Music Festival as a Scenic Craftsman. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to build, install, and run theatrical scenery for our productions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Construct scenery according to shop drawings using time, materials, and tools efficiently
- Participate in load-in, running, and strike of AOTVA productions
- Maintain and organize shop equipment and tools
- Adhere to highest safety standards for job site, tool operation, and scenic pieces and theatrical equipment operation

Requirements:
- Pursuing or graduated with BA/BFA in Technical Theater with concentration in scenic construction or technical direction, or equivalent professional experience
- Previous experience in scenic construction for theatrical productions
- Strong working knowledge of welding and rigging advantageous but not required
- Sensitivity to needs of staff, designers, guest artists, faculty, and student performers and proven ability to work well with others
- Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds and materials or greater weights with crew member assistance, comfortable climbing stairs/ladders, and valid driver's license

Estimated Salary Range: $38,855 - $43,865 per year (approximately $15.50/hour plus housing provided by AMFS)
