Job Title: Scenic Construction Specialist

As a member of the production team at the Aspen Music Festival & School, this role offers a chance to collaborate with experienced professionals and gain valuable skills in scenic construction.

Mainstage productions will feature Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte and Puccini's La Boheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute scenic construction projects as assigned, adhering to established deadlines and quality standards.
  2. Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless load-in, running, and strike of AOTVA productions.
  3. Develop and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  4. Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, designers, and guest artists to achieve exceptional results.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Theater with a focus on scenic construction or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in scenic construction, preferably in a theatrical setting.
  • Adept at operating various tools and machinery, including welding equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation Package:
  • Housing provided by AMFS, valued at $4.91/hour, in addition to hourly wage of $15.50/hour.
  • Overtime rate of $23.25/hour, benefits including AMFS season pass and paid sick time.
