Job Title: Theatre Production Carpenter

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the creation of breathtaking theatrical scenery at the Aspen Music Festival & School.

Mainstage productions will showcase Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte and Puccini's La Boheme.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the production team to build, install, and run theatrical scenery for mainstage productions.
  • Work closely with the AOTVA Production Manager to ensure seamless execution of scenic construction projects.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Ensure the highest safety standards are maintained throughout all stages of production.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Theater with a focus on scenic construction or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven track record of successful scenic construction projects in a theatrical setting.
  • Familiarity with welding and rigging techniques, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Compensation:
  • $15.50/hour plus housing provided by AMFS ($4.91/hour), overtime $23.25/hour.
  • Benefits package including AMFS season pass and paid sick time.
