Quality Assurance Engineer for Supplier Management

Our innovative acceleration platform significantly reduces the time from laboratory development to production by over 90%, utilizing advanced process optimization and artificial intelligence. Our iron-rich cathodes are proven solutions for electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and consumer electronics. We are committed to establishing a robust supply chain and manufacturing process to deliver high-quality cathodes to our clients.
We have established a cutting-edge industrial research and development center. We are currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality of upstream materials and components utilized in our cathode products for leading battery manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct domestic and international visits to customer and supplier locations.
- Implement quality enhancements using methodologies such as Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles.
- Identify critical performance and quality metrics that are essential to our customers as we scale operations.
- Analyze drawings and specifications from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and devise strategies to enhance the value of our technology.
- Gather market intelligence to understand supplier offerings and pricing models.
- Transform process innovations into actionable yield and cost improvement plans.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure alignment with customer requirements and timelines.
- Work with the Head of Commercial to create a comprehensive timeline that aligns product development and factory scaling with commercial agreements.
- Independently manage product quality for key clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the battery materials sector or a similar technology-driven industry.
- Technical expertise in chemical materials, particularly lithium-ion battery cathodes.
- A proactive and resourceful approach, with the ability to collaborate across various functions.
- Experience in auditing suppliers against quality standards such as AS9100, PPAP, APQP, or SPC.
- Ability to translate engineering specifications from the customer level to the material level.
- Proficiency in Korean or Mandarin is advantageous.
