Key Responsibilities- Prepares and oversees research grant proposals and progress reports, including document and budget preparation.
- Maintains schedules of deadlines for non-competing renewals and continuation applications.
- Updates and maintains investigator Curriculum Vitae, Biosketches, and Other Support pages.
- Submits requisitions for research expenditures and orders office and laboratory supplies.
- Coordinates with institutional departments to track and monitor research expenses.
- Accurately records and approves time for lab personnel using the hospital's Kronos time-keeping system.
- Provides research protocol assistance, including preparing and coordinating new and continuing IRB and IACUC protocols.
- Makes arrangements for visiting speakers and prospective candidates, including schedules, travel, and reimbursement of expenses.
- Coordinates on-site arrangements for conferences and meetings sponsored by the faculty.
- Assists with on-boarding staff, including providing relevant forms and materials, training, and orienting staff as needed.
- Highly proficient in handling research expenditure transactions.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work are critical.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
- Understanding of federal cost principles and knowledge of office machines.
